i see where youre trying to go JL_99, but these skills are pretty distinct from the ones that we currently have that you mentioned. for instance, for his steal enchantment suggestion, you had the idea that it is far too similar to inspired enchantment. however, his new skill is supposed to transfer the benefits to you. inspired enchantment only gives you the ability to use it. also, i believe that the main focus of the skill would be to crack down on those who use energy degeneration skills so that they must maintain their energy degen while their team is reaping no real benefits. and for your comment on his ecstacy skill (which i really do love btw), the point is that it is a hex and it is stopping strictly that one enemy from casting as much because their energy is being drained. quickening zephyr has the same effect on everyone on both teams, and is only beneficial if one team creates a strategy to play around it. being hexed with this skills would have no such loophole which is what would make it so effective.

That's true. I like the idea of a character that can apply spirit-like effects to single targets, even if that wasn't the original intent of the post. Still, if anything it seems like some of these ideas would be better as additional mesmer skills in Chapter 2 as opposed to a whole new class.
